Rotaract is a global service organisation which is part of Rotary International. All together there are over 201.000 members in 8.750 clubs in 170 countries. Rotaract is organized in Clubs which are managed by a Club Board. It takes care of the organization and coordination during the Club year which lasts from the 1st of July until the 30th of June of the following year. The Board is elected each year by the club, to ensure that each member can be part of the Board and actively shape the club activity.
The core values of Rotaract are Helping, Learning and Celebrating. They together form the three columns of our organization:

Rotaract Club of Graz
The Rotaract Club of Graz was founded in 1980 and consists of currently 27 members and 4 honorary members. We all come from various backgrounds of which some are listed in the graph below. We meet every second week in a restaurant in Graz to discuss current topics as well as organize projects and spend a nice evening together.
Rotaract Austria
There are 24 Clubs and roughly 500 Rotaract members in Austria. Multiple Rotaract Clubs are regionally organized in so-called “Districts”. These are generally independent from countries and determined by the number of active Rotarians in an area. In Austria there are for instance two Districts (1910 & 1920) while the Rotaract Club of Graz is part of District 1910.
Normally each District is managed independently by a District Board which is elected at the annual presidential conference. However, since there are less members in 1920, both Districts are managed by one Multidistrict Board which is elected each year at the Multidistrict Presidential Conference (MDPC) where each member of the Clubs in 1910 and 1920 can run for any office in the Board.
Rotaract International
Additionally to the Districts, there are bigger structures called Multidistrict Information Organisations (short MDIO) which consist of multiple Districts. The biggest and oldest of them is the European Rotaract Information Center (E.R.I.C.), which is also the only one that our District is a part of. Each MDIO is guided and organized by a Board consisting of Rotaract members from the Districts. The Board is elected each year at the annual conference.
